The Article “Huawei P40 Pro Plus Review: Camera Tech Is A Generation Ahead “(Forbes, June 2020) introduces the main features of Huawei P40 Pro Plus Camera Technology. The P40 Pro Plus comes with the advance feature of periscope Zoom lens together with the 80mm telephoto lens and this lens can give users the ability to zoom in to capture the moment with super clarity and a person from a far distance can be viewed so closely and tiny details can be shown with clarity. The other feature of this phone includes the ultrawide camera which provides the users with a full wide view capturing all the wide-angle details without losing the light sensitivity especially in areas where there is no light and getting clarity from such places is difficult in most cases all other phones failed at this when compared to P40 Pro plus. The other feature of the P40 Pro Plus is the design which gives the user comfort when they are holding on to it because this design has side edges curved to give comfort to the hands when swiping take place and its good looking glass matte back design is the attractive part that comes in with various colors with fingerprint-resistant.

 

Huawei P40 series is the only mobile phone to introduce the new function “HUAWEI Golden Snap AI Remove Passersby” (Huawei, 2020) and this feature of the Huawei P40 Pro provides the solution to the users who are searching for a location without any passer-by to take a photo or using external editors to remove the passer-by from their photo. This new feature help users to save their time and energy from doing all of that and users need to only click on an option to erase the passer-by or any other object in the background and when compared to the difference in the photo taken before and after the image it doesn’t show any edited effects in the photo. The new feature uses its AI algorithms technology to do this function and “It takes a 4K moving picture and then the Gallery Edit feature recommends 1-3 pictures of the best moving moment. AI Remove Passer-by uses the AI capability of Gallery Edit to help you remove the passers-by by combining several frames into one. So, you can have a clean background and focus completely on the subject. The Huawei P40 Pro being the latest model of Huawei had to face its challenges with the US Trade restriction which prevents this mobile phone from “using certain processers or Google apps” [Fingas,2020]. This restriction did not prevent Huawei from releasing its product to “other Regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America” [perlow, 2020].

 

Despite having the best hardware and camera capabilities the P40 Pro plus still lacks in the software portion without the full support of Google it does not have access to the most common apps like YouTube, Chrome, Gmail, and Google maps are not available. This shows that Huawei must develop its software application which can support its users with better apps to substitute the apps which are not provided by Google android service to stay competitive in the market.

Final Reflection (Thank You! Professor Brad)

  In this Technical Communication lesson, I have learned a lot of beneficial knowledge that will apply to me in my career and school life. This lesson can benefit every student in SIT and it will well equip students with good communication skills in terms of writing or speaking. I have learned a lot in this lesson and one of my takeaways is that I have learned the proper way to write reports in APA style and i have learned from my mistakes and taken the necessary steps to improve my reports.
