 The article “Huawei P40 Pro Plus Review: Camera Tech Is A Generation Ahead “(Ben Sin, 2020) introduces the zoom function of the Huawei P40 Pro Plus and it’s the biggest takeaway feature that makes this phone popular and outstanding in terms of its camera. The P40 pro plus has come with the advance feature of periscope Zoom lens together with the 80mm telephoto lens and it has “five cameras: a standard 50-megapixel lens, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel 3x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel 10x optical zoom and a time-of-flight depth-sensing camera”(Hoyle, 2020, Para. 3). the unique zoom features of Huawei P40 Pro Plus stand out when compared to its competitor because of its zoom function and “ It was the first smartphone to come with a 10x optical zoom lens, which lets you get closer with no quality loss to your subject. It puts the 2x optical zoom of the iPhone 11 Pro to shame. Even the 4x optical zoom on the Samsung S20 Ultra can't compete.” (Hoyle, 2020).

 

Another key feature of this phone is to maintain its clarity in the zoom function and after being tested out on its image clarity it shows that small details are captured in it as “The details captured by the 10x zoom—small details on my skin such as whiteheads are visible—is unmatched by any other device” (Ben Sin, 2020). This camera function would be useful to the users during wildlife photography as getting closer to the animals may pose a certain level of risk and having a phone with the ability to capture good quality photos in a distance away saves the trouble of getting into danger. “ Wildlife photography has never been the realm of phones, due to their inability to get close up on the creatures you're photographing, but the P40 Pro Plus would certainly let you get some cracking shots of the wildlife that visits your garden“ (Hoyle, 2020, para. 14).

 

Another feature of the Huawei P40 Pro Plus is the  “HUAWEI Golden Snap AI Remove Passersby” (2020) and this unique feature provides the solution to the users who are searching for a location without any passer-by to take a photo or using external editors to remove the passer-by from their photo. “A few new features that depend on the power of AI are available for the Huawei P40 series smartphones. These provide fancy new features for users that work quickly and provide simpler ways to post-edit images. These are all part of a category of AI photography features called the Golden Snap, dubbed as AI Best Moment, AI Remove Passerby and AI Remove Reflection “(Yap, 2020). This new feature help users to save their time and energy from finding an external solution to remove passer-by from their photo and users need to only click on an option to erase the passer-by or any other object in the background and when compared to the difference in the photo taken before and after the image it doesn’t show any edited effects in the photo. The new feature uses its AI algorithms technology to do this function and “AI Delete Passer-by uses Gallery Edit's AI capabilities to help you erase passers-by by merging several frames into one. So, you can have a clean background and concentrate on the subject. The unnecessary glare from the frame can be removed by AI Remove Reflection, allowing users to easily enhance their photos “[John H Junior, 2020].

 

 In conclusion, the P40 Pro Plus stands out in the market for its camera function such as its zooming capabilities, Image clarity and the AI remove Passerby function when compared to its competitor and it’s the best choice for users who are looking for a mobile phone with a high-quality camera.

Final Reflection (Thank You! Professor Brad)

  In this Technical Communication lesson, I have learned a lot of beneficial knowledge that will apply to me in my career and school life. This lesson can benefit every student in SIT and it will well equip students with good communication skills in terms of writing or speaking. I have learned a lot in this lesson and one of my takeaways is that I have learned the proper way to write reports in APA style and i have learned from my mistakes and taken the necessary steps to improve my reports. In this Lesson I have also built my confidence in the process of my presentation; the mock presentation has helped me a lot in my final presentation because I have taken all the valuable feedback from my classmates and professor.
